Resumen

El artículo analiza cómo el Partido Comunista Brasileño (PCB) y el Partido Comunista de Chile (PCCH) reinterpretaron su lugar político y redefinieron su acción tras los golpes cívico-militares de 1964 y 1973. A través de un estudio comparado de los periódicos erária, Unidad Antifascista, Noticias de Chile y El Siglo, se examina la prensa comunista como espacio de ““propiocepción partidaria”” en una fase de recomposición pos-golpe. Con esta categoría, se entiende el proceso mediante el cual el PCB y el PCCH leyeron sus propias transformaciones, reconstruyeron su equilibrio organizativo y elaboraron discursivamente una subjetividad comunista en los primeros años de los regímenes autoritarios de Brasil y Chile. Desde una perspectiva del análisis del discurso y de la teoría de los movimientos sociales, se observa cómo la prensa acompañó la reorganización geográfica, política y moral emprendida por el PCB y el PCCH.

The article analyses how the Brazilian Communist Party (PCB) and the Communist Party of Chile (PCCH) reinterpreted their political position and redefined their actions following the civil-military coups of 1964 and 1973. Through a comparative study of the newspapers Voz Operária, Unidad Antifascista, Noticias de Chile, and El Siglo, the communist press is examined as a space for ““party proprioception”” during the years of post-coup re-composition. This category refers to process through which the parties comprehended their own transformations, rebuilt their organisational balance and discursively elaborated the communist identity under Brazil’s and Chile’s authoritarian regimes. From the perspective of discourse analysis and the theory of social movement, the press will be observed to comprehend how it accompanied geographical, political, and moral reorganisation undertaken by the PCB and the PCCH.
